''The elf-queene, with hir joly compaignie, Daunced ful ofte in many a grene mede.” Geoffrey Chaucer "The Wife of Bath’s Tale"

The sunny, cool days with a hint of autumn in the air arrived with a reminder  to store food and wood in preparation for the winter.  This stirred ancient memories as a hedge/green WiseWoman living close to the land yet felt like  more than that, I sensed the 'tone' of advice so thought I'd share.

This morning  the weekend arrived with rain,  canceling out my plans to visit the nearby sacred spring, inaccessible in wet weather. After a busy week tending the garden and doing a bit of canning, I looked forward to some quiet moments with the goddess but awakening to  thunder and lightening reminds me to appreciate  Thor's energy too.  Rainy weather provides a respite for retreat to listen, to sense, and integrate  intuitive knowing as well as any messages waiting via the  metaphoric 'inbox'.
